Your Subconscious Can Guide Your Eating
Over the last decade, the increase in most people’s waistline has been substantial, resulting in a myriad of problems.
Not only does an increase in the waistline cause physical challenges, disease and sleep deprivation, it can also cause emotional challenges.
Mind you, this article is NOT about body shaming. It’s about the reality of what happens when we gain weight.
As much as people want to deny how bad it is, a quick Google search obesity in America will result in shocking information. Obesity is not limited to the United States, but unfortunately, we do lead the way with the epidemic of unhealthy weight.
Poor eating habits increase our chances of a poor quality of life as well as an increased risk of many preventable diseases such as heart disease, cancer, stroke, and high blood pressure. Although not all disease is preventable, many of the illnesses that are on a rise, are. Yet, more every day, someone becomes a statistic. It’s not for lack of information on how to change that’s the problem. It’s due to lowering our standards of what we will tolerate that is.
This may not be what many people want to hear but refusing to accept this simple truth is literally killing people.
Lack of Movement Is Also a Problem
Granted, food alone is not the culprit for the rise in out of control weight problems. Lack of movement, through basic exercise, is also to blame.
When someone is overweight they often don’t feel like exercising. When someone doesn’t exercise they will likely become overweight.
So, which do you address first? In a word, both.
Once you start moving, you will become more aware of your body. As you become aware of your body, you are in a better position to make healthier food choices.
What’s the Quality of Life You Want?
Face it, when you’re overweight, not moving and unable to do the things you want, you’re not going to be happy. That’s a simple fact.
The first thing you need to do is determine the quality of life you want. Do you want to be dependent on expensive pills, doctors and hospitals, to sustain you? Most people would answer NO! But their behaviors indicated otherwise.
I Can’t Afford to Eat Healthy
This is the biggest lie people tell themselves. Sure, there are plenty of foods that cost very little that do the job of filling us up, but they also do the job of making us incredibly unhealthy. In the long run, the cheap foods will end up costing much more than eating the way your body craves.
With proper planning, you can eat healthy and stay within a budget. Yet, as I write about in my book, The Food Codes, what is healthy for you, may not be healthy for someone else.
There are some foods that are universally healthy, but you will be well served to determine what’s best for you based on what is called muscle testing.
What is Muscle Testing?
Muscle testing (also known as applied kinesiology) is a practice that is used to tap into the subconscious mind in order to answer questions about physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Imagine tapping into your subconscious mind to discover what foods are good for you and which you should avoid. Is this really possible? Absolutely.
The subconscious mind is incredibly powerful in its ability to guide us to optimal health. The secret though, and it’s really no secret at all, is to tap into the power that each of us has at our fingertips.
Basically, the subconscious mind is like a human computer. It records virtually everything that has happened in our lives. Muscle testing taps into our “human computer.”
Muscle testing is fast, reliable and easy to do. Try it out for yourself. Take any food product and hold it in your hand.
Hold your arm with the food out in front of you. Put your hand from your other arm just above your wrist of the hand holding the item and lightly push down. If your arm easily goes down, the food is likely not good for you.
If it doesn’t move or feels a good resistance, it’s one you will benefit from at this time.
It’s that easy to determine what’s good for you and what’s not. Your subconscious mind is letting you know what you need and what you don’t. It’s that simple.
The Habit of Muscle Testing
What would your life be like if you were to reach your optimal weight and never diet again? With muscle testing, you can. But, as with anything, you have to commit to using this powerful tool. By applying the power of muscle testing to your daily practices, you will quickly discover those foods that are going to give you the type of energy, focus and health you desire and deserve.
